SIA relocated their warehouse team from their existing site at Greetland, near Halifax, to the Towngate property on Armytage Road, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, during October 2008. They required a modern, larger, working environment with additional office space. The decision to move to Brighouse has been a good one, especially with the premises being located so close to Junction 25 of the M62 Motorway.
"The new warehouse property will provide lots of benefits and the whole team are looking forward to working from the site during the New Year ahead.
Towngate have refurbished the property to the specification of SIA and the work has included Painting the warehouse floor, electrical installation works, carpeting, installation of a new heating system, office refurishments, installation of new roller shutter doors, external redecoratons and roofing works".
Saint Gobain Property Department deals with the extensive Saint Gobain portfolio, some 1,700 properties made up of a number of different brands of which Jewson is one of the larger commonly known businesses. The team has been based in Huddersfield for the past 10 years, and were keen to stay in the area. Various options were considered during the search, including keeping all the 'Team' on one floor to promote good working and business relationships. Property Director, Richard Baldus looked at the opportunity in Parkview House...

"When we left our previous property in Stockport we viewed numerous properties around the Huddersfield and Brighouse area. Undoubtedly, the office in Towngate’s head office offered the best location, value for money and overall amenities. The offices are on the 2nd floor and overlook a lovely wooded area and it makes for a peaceful and tranquil setting.
Towngate, particularly Julia Ford and Robert Smith, were always on hand to help with any business related issue but also to offer much needed moral support during the illness of one of the partners.
