We were delighted to welcome Charlie and have him working with us for a week. We think he may be hiding his light under a bushel though, as Charlie actually plays for Barnsley F.C.! It goes without saying that we will be inviting him back at some stage in the future, to represent us at the annual Yorkshire Property Charity football event. Here’s a bit more about his time spent at Towngate PLC…

1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself; what are your hobbies & interests?

I am 15 years old, I go to Hipperholme Grammar and I like to play sport, especially football. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family

2. How would you say your friends and family would describe you?

Kind, genuine, sporty

3. How do you spend a typical weekend?

Playing football and seeing friends and family

4. What subjects have you chosen for your GCSE options?

PE, Business, History, RS, Higher Maths, English and Combined Science

5. What is your favourite part of school life?

Seeing my friends every day

6. What are your career aspirations?

My dream is to be a footballer and if not, I would like to do something in the sport or business sector

7. Can you tell us a little bit of what you know about Towngate and what we do?

Towngate buy and have built big and smaller warehouses. They then let them to companies who in turn pay rent in return

8. How do you think you could utilise your skills within your work experience role?

I am a quick learner so I can apply what I have learnt

9. What are you hoping to take away from your work experience at Towngate?

Experience of work life and a better understanding of what it’s like to work in the business sector

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Do you have plans to continue your education, travel etc?

If I continue at football, hopefully I will be still playing at a high level. If not, I would like to go to University…
