The Health Informatics Service is a well-established organisation hosted by the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. They are a mature IM&T provider employing over 240 members of staff. They currently provide services and solutions to over 30 separate organisations mainly throughout Yorkshire but also some on a national basis.

They offer a comprehensive range of IM&T services including many specialist products only found in a shared service of this type. Many of their customers utilise the full product range while others select specific products according to their needs.

They have a wide range of proven professional services available to health, social care, social enterprise and third sector organisations across the UK and their customers include Acute Hospitals, CCG’s, CSU’s, hospices, Health based social enterprises and local authorities, amongst many others including private health organisations.

Some examples of the services provided include:

  • A full range if IT support: Service Delivery Centre, NOC, Field Support and Infrastructure support.
  • A broad skill set of professional services: Project Management, Business Change, Information Governance, Training and Registration Authority
  • Development teams: Apps, Clinical Systems and Web
  • Information Service: Clinical and Corporate information, Community, Clinical Coding and Knowledge Portals.
  • National Pathology Exchange (NPex) and the National Coding Academy.

The Health Informatics Service and its staff have achieved a host of recognised NHS/industry standard qualifications which further support the professional service they deliver including 3 ISO standards, Nationally accredited service desk and European information governance award.

In the Summer of 2009, they opened their Flagship HQ at the Towngate owned Oak House, which forms part of the established Woodvale Office Park, Brighouse, West Yorkshire, HD6  4AB.

This refurbished, spacious and modern property comprises 3,320 sq ft and benefits from generous car parking with all local amenities, including Shopping Superstore, Swimming Pool and Gym, within walking distance. The property also benefits from excellent main road communications and the Motorway Network is accessible via Junction 25 of the M62 Motorway, which is approximately 1 mile to the south east.
