It is with saddened hearts that we must announce the news that our much loved and respected Chairman, David Smith, passed away peacefully at home, on the evening of the 31^{st of} May 2023.

David was first and foremost, a family man; husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, whose talent and entrepreneurial abilities were profoundly evident from a very young age.   David was born in 1940, in Towngate, Brighouse, and had no desire to move away, building a professional  family business, and naming it after his birthplace, now managed and directed by his two sons; Alan and Robert. 

David’s enthusiasm for the commercial property industry never wavered and he continued his involvement right up until the end. He had been heard to say, on many an occasion, that he ‘enjoyed every single minute.’ 

David also had a passion for helping and inspiring people and he did this for over 40 years at Brighouse Rotary Club, and served 25 years as a Director of the Prince’s Trust.

What a wonderful legacy he has left behind, in terms of the obvious adoration and love he had for his family, his desire to offer help and support wherever he could, and his admirable dedication to the business he had so successfully nurtured over a period of 60+ years.

We will all miss him greatly .
