We’re delighted to confirm that Ellenby Construction has been appointed as main contractor for the development project having submitted a competitive tender and in whom we can place our full trust, having worked with them successfully on previous projects. 

David Stanway Associates will again be joining us to project manage the scheme, alongside several other partners who have have provided a highly professional service, drawing up the plans for the development and supporting Towngate PLC throughout the planning process including KPP Architects; Adept –  Civil and Structural Engineers; Steven Abbott Associates (Planning Consultant); and Michael Eyres Partnership (Quantity Surveyors).

LATEST UPDATE – 11th May 2024

We have been making excellent progress in the past weeks, and our latest industrial development scheme is getting close to completion. The target date to finish on site is the 31st of May. Nearly all the external cladding is in place for the industrial units to let. The warehouse floors have been laid and the office blocks are coming to life. Plastered and suspended ceilings are going up. 

Now a total of THREE … so HALF OF the units are UNDER OFFER. These industrial buildings are of fantastic specification, state-of-the art structures which incorporate the latest sustainable features and solar power generation. Our pre-launch event at the site of our new industrial property development was a great success last week, having welcomed over 40 property professionals to view the premises comprising six new warehouse units. The feedback was very positive, in particular regarding the overall quality of build and specification, size of units, generous yard space and green credentials of the new and modern workspace.

4th March 2024

Sadly no blue skies for our latest shoot, however things are really hotting up on site at our Manchester warehouse development. Works are progressing extremely well despite the damp weather… we’re very busy with a range of contractors working hard. The yard is currently being laid and has brought to life the beauty of the buildings. Internally warehouse areas are nearing completion – flooring will be next, and the office pods are taking shape, with partitions and first floor areas being constructed.

We remain on track for practical completion by mid April, with strong interest in each of the industrial units.

10th January 2024

It’s fantastic to see some brighter weather since we returned from the New Year celebrations. As a result there’s been some great progress at our new industrial property development, with the wall cladding nearing completion and aesthetic features such as the micro rib cladding and bull nose roof detail now underway. Internally the office shells have been constructed, as has the base layer of the floor. Solar panels have been installed on the rooftops to meet our superior environmental credentials, which will subsequently reduce costs for occupiers of these premises.  

 

20th December 2023

It’s all been happening on site at our new industrial development taking place in the North West… the structure is up and roof is watertight, with vertical cladding now in progress. Internal block work and office pods are almost complete, just in time for a short festive break before we start up again in January when the solar panel installation will commence, alongside the internal fit-out.

13th November 2023

All involved on site are doing an excellent job at our new industrial development at Walkden near Manchester – despite the horrendous wet weather we have faced in recent weeks. We are still on track for completion at the end of April 2023 with the roof and vertical cladding now being installed. The internal blockwork and office framework are well advanced and discussions are taking place with regards solar power provision on the units … watch out for another update soon on the benefits this will offer our future occupiers.

The structure is now visible and the buildings are coming to life

We are delighted to see the steelwork emerging from the ground at the Towngate Business Centre, Walkden – near Manchester. 14th September 2023

We’ve made some excellent progress over the summer months – with the warm weather being extremely helpful with the preparation of the ground. Drainage is in and foundation trenches dug. Next stop, we will start to see some structure with concrete and steelworks rising up from the ground.

The demolition of previous buildings has commenced with the first stage of the project being to carry out site preparation work, levelling out the ground and creating a stable development platform upon which we will build the six new industrial units / warehouses. Foundations will begin in the coming weeks….
