Towngate PLC secure another deal at Cross Green

by Julia Ford

Brighouse-based commercial property specialist, Towngate Plc, are pleased to announce the continued expansion of their existing tenant; Allied Glass, at the ideally located Towngate Link, Cross Green Industrial Estate, Leeds, LS9 0HG.

Having signed up last year on a 10 year lease of the 106,143 sq ft Unit 1 Towngate Link, Allied Glass have grown in size and agreed a lease deal on Unit 2, enabling this to run alongside their existing Unit 1 lease. The site comprises adjoining warehouse units, and has worked well for Allied Glass.

The deal sees just one unit remaining; Unit 3 (62,689 sq ft), and this unit offers great potential, with excellent main road frontage onto the East Leeds Link Road, close to J45 M1, and extensive yard/storage/parking space.

Allied Glass Containers is the UK’s fourth largest glass container manufacturer, producing packaging for worldwide markets. Also occupying space at Haigh Park Road, Stourton – another property included within the Towngate portfolio – Allied Glass has the capability to produce 13 million bottles every week from manufacturing sites in Leeds and Knottingley too.

John Wignall, Property Director, Towngate Plc, stated: “We are thrilled that our tenants continue to do well, despite the challenging times facing the UK manufacturing industry. It is always encouraging to the Towngate Group to know that they are valued by their tenants, who continue to speak with them when their property requirements change.”

Towngate Plc is one of the North’s leading commercial and industrial property providers and can currently offer properties from 3,000 – 100,000 sq ft across the M62 corridor.
